According to the information on its own website, the national institute of statesman of Chile (INE) is a state agency created in 1843, which aims to conduct the general census of population and housing, and produce, compile and publish the official statistics of the country , in addition to other specific tasks entrusted to it by law (link http://www.ine.cl/).
